About Steampunk
Steampunk is a genre of science fiction/fantasy that has emerged into a subculture in popular western culture.
In it’s most basic form, Steampunk as a science fiction genre can be considered to be A “What if” in human history, merging the technology of our time and beyond, but putting it in a much earlier era (Usually the Victorian era) In doing so, modern devices such as computers take on completely new forms, with the aesthetics of the Victorian era, and the limitations of steam power.
A steam-powered computer fashioned in the style of the Victorian era would be a good example of Steampunk in action.

Steampunk as a science fiction genre has a few key elements that are usually prominent in all Steampunk works. These include, but are not limited to; Steam power, Zeppelins, Victorian fashion.
From the early roots of Steampunk as a science fiction genre to today, Steampunk has grown into it’s own style of everything. From clothing to an entire music genre based in Steampunk roots,
Steampunk is an always evolving genre based in a passion for anything old and beautiful.
